Food Shelf Shopping List: Thanks to all who have made donations to the food shelf! Please let me know if you would like to volunteer one Saturday morning a month at the food shelf. (A number of you have already spoken to me about volunteering, and I will contact you soon.) We will also create a substitute list, so that will be another way to volunteer on a less regular basis. This food shelf ministry will be a work-in-progress as we work out the kinks and discover what works best. A few lessons learned so far: · We cannot hand out expired food or items that are dented. Please check items before donating. · White rice, 12-16 oz. bags/boxes of pasta, and single bags/boxes of cereal are more user-friendly than other types/sizes. · Donations of food (see list below) or money are welcome. Please consider making a regular or monthly donation, so that the food shelf can thrive and become a blessing to many.
